SSI Courses
Fantasy Island Beach Resort Dive & Marina is an authorized SSI Center. In our Dive Center you will enjoy with this modern educative system and acquire experience and security in diving. Once you have completed the courses, and according with your experience you will have access to the certification by SSI. The courses available at Fantasy Island are:
OPEN WATER DIVER $350.00
In open water is where the diver learns how to dive. Firs he improves his knowledge on open water and classroom. Second he learns techniques and emergency procedures that can be learn only on open water. At the end of this training the diver has completed the number One Level of the Binnacle system, four or more immersions on open water. -Open Water Diver- A program that has been called as the Best in Diving nowadays by Skin diver Magazine.
SPECIALTY DIVER $250.00
While the "Open Water" training provides the new diver with enough trainin to acquire skill to be a good diver, can not provide experience in special dive situations, equipment, navigations, Stress/Rescue (a complete program that teach the diver how to recognize problems that make panic and accidents, that can save lives). "Night/Limited Visibility", "Boat Diving", "Deep Diving", are some of the specialties available. With two specialties & twelve immersions the diver is in Level Two in the SSI Binnacle system.
BOAT DIVER Certification. $130.00
In this course you will learn advanced techniques of diving from a Boat, what to do in case of emergency and whom to look for in a case of an emergency. Learn more of exit points of a Boat and what to do. The course has two phases, two dives, after that you will have the lecture and a final test. The course will take 2 days.
DRIFT DIVER Certification. $130.00
In this course you will have the opportunity to learn the advanced techniques in the Drift diving. What to do in a case of an emergency and whom to look in a case of a problem. The course has two phases: Firs you have two dives and after you will have the lectures, and a final test. The course will take two days.
UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY Certification. $180.00
In this course you will have a basic knowledge on how to use an Underwater camera, how to take the different angles and balances for the good making of you video, it also helps conserve our marine species, corals, and at the same time how to give a better use and care to your camera. The course has two or three phases with two dives, and then you will have to fill out all of the requirements, theory and the final test, depending on your capacity.
