Experience Garifuna culture and heritage at its most vibrant. Celebrating the arrival of the first Garifuna people to Roatán in 1797, this annual festival features theatrical performances, parades on land and by boat and more. You will also enjoy traditional Garifuna songs, music, dress and cuisine like as the machuca (mashed plantain or plantain soup), coconut bread and guifity (a local alcoholic brew).

Drawing more than 300 motorcycle enthusiasts from throughout Central America, Moto Fest features motorcycle shows, group rides, live concerts, cultural shows and plenty of eating, drinking and parties.

This international catch and release fishing tournament features a Billfish Division (Blue and White Marlin, Sailfish and Spearfish) a Rodeo Division (Wahoo, Dolphin, Tuna and Kingfish) and a Junior Division (for anglers aged 15 and younger). Awards are also given to the team that catches and releases a blue marlin, white marlin and sailfish, the team that catches the heaviest Blue Marlin over 708 pounds and the tournament’s top lady angler.
